Awards: $2,950 in Cash Prizes including $1,000 Best in Show
Juror: Charlotta Kotik, Curator Emerita of Contemporary Art, Brooklyn Museum of Art
Eligibility: Our unique gallery - a massive Civil War-era warehouse on the Red Hook waterfront - affords us the opportunity to exhibit really huge work. We look forward to exhibiting artist's work in all sizes, subjects, and media, except film (unless the film/video is part of an installation). Open to all residents of the U.S. and its Territories 18 years of age or older. All artwork must be original in concept, design and execution. Crafts, kit work or reproductions (such as giclee), unless used as part of a mixed media work, will not be considered. Oversize Work, Assemblages and Installations are welcome at the discretion of BWAC, but must be delivered, installed and removed by the artist (or their agent) upon arrangement with BWAC staff.
Fees: $45.00 for up to three (3) images if received by 1/4/2012. $65 thereafter.
Commission: BWAC will retain a 25% commission on all exhibition sales.
